It all started when Ted’s best friend, Marshall (Jason Segel), dropped the bombshell that he was going to propose to his long-time girlfriend and now wife, Lily (Alyson Hannigan), a kindergarten teacher. At that moment, Ted realized that he had better get a move on if he, too, hopes to find true love. Helping him in his quest is Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), a friend with endless, sometimes outrageous opinions, a penchant for suits and a foolproof way to meet women. When Ted met Robin (Cobie Smulders), it was love at first sight but when things didn’t work out, Ted realized destiny must have something else in store. The series is narrated through flashbacks from the future.

It’s a tall order when the brightest stars of the group include Kurt (Chris Colfer), a soprano who hits a high note in fashion, Mercedes (Amber Riley), a larger-than-life diva with a voice to match, Artie (Kevin McHale), a geeky guitarist who rocks and rolls and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), a punk rocker who hides behind her stutter and blue hair extensions.

Will’s only hope lies with two true talents: Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), a self-proclaimed star who is convinced that MySpace and show choir and are her tickets to fame and Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith), the popular high school quarterback with movie star looks who must protect his reputation from his holier-than-thou girlfriend and Cheerios head cheerleader, Quinn (Dianna Agron) and his arrogant football teammate, Puck (Mark Salling). Will is determined to do whatever it takes to make Glee great again, but his only ally is fellow teacher and germaphobe Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays). Everyone else around him thinks he’s nuts, from his tough-as-nails wife Terri Schuester (Jessalyn Gilsig) to McKinley’s scheming cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch). But Will is out to prove them wrong.

Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) is a highly skilled forensic anthropologist who works at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington, D.C. and writes novels as a sideline. When the standard methods of identifying a body are useless, when the remains are so badly decomposed, burned or destroyed that CSI gives up, law enforcement calls in Brennan for her uncanny ability to read clues left behind in the victim’s bones.

Most law enforcement can’t handle Brennan’s intelligence, her drive for the truth or the way she flings herself headlong into every investigation. Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) of the FBI’s Homicide Investigations Unit is the exception. A former Army sniper, Booth mistrusts science and scientists, the “squints” as he calls them, who pore over the physical evidence of a crime. But even he cannot deny that the combination of his people-smarts and Brennan’s scientific acumen makes them a formidable team.

A game show that puts participants to the test, the lie detector test, to reveal whether or not they are telling the truth for a chance to win half a million dollars. Contestants answer a series of 21 increasingly personal and embarrassing questions to receive cash prizes.

Prior to the show, a contestant is hooked up to a polygraph and asked more than 50 questions; there is no polygraph testing conducted during the actual show. Without knowing the results of the polygraph, he or she is asked 21 of those same questions again on the program, each becoming progressively more personal in nature. If the contestant answers honestly, according to the polygraph results, he or she moves on to the next question. However, should a contestant lie in his or her answer (as determined by the polygraph) or simply refuse to answer a question after it has been asked, the game ends. If he/she gives a false answer before the $10,000 level of questions, he/she leaves with nothing; after the $25,000 level, if a false answer is given, the contestant leaves with $25,000 (during the first season, a false answer on any level caused the player to leave with nothing).

For each tier of questions answered correctly, the contestant wins the corresponding amount of money. A contestant may stop at any time before any question is asked and collect their earnings, but once they hear a question, they must answer it or lose the game. Answering all 21 questions truthfully, as determined by the polygraph results, wins the jackpot of $500,000.

The questions vary, increasing in difficulty and degree of personal nature of the questions. To date, no contestant has reached the final tier. Sometimes, a surprise guest – such as an ex-partner or a good friend will come on the stage and ask a particularly difficult question. Friends, colleagues and family of the contestant who are gathered near the player have access to a button which can be used to switch out a question once per game, an option which is introduced to them after the third question.

Golf is a very dignified game of rules, manners and etiquette, and it’s quite important to know the basics of golfing etiquette before you play golf for the first time.

It doesn’t matter whether you are playing alone, in a twosome or in a foursome, golfing etiquette demands that you must always wait your turn. You must stay aware of the group on the next hole and wait until they are well ahead of you before hitting your ball.Golfing etiquette also means that it is never cool to “hurry” the group in front of you. If you are playing with others, wait your turn to hit the ball and never hit at the same time as another player.

While you wait for your turn, go to your ball and determine what club you will need to use and how you are going to hit it. This is called “ready golf” and keeps the game moving along. Don’t rush anybody, just be ready.

Another nice piece of golfing etiquette, especially for the novice is ‘playing through’. For example, if your team is holding up the players behind you, say because you are consistently over par, let them play through. You would simply wave them through, or if they are near enough, ask them if they would like to play through. You will never make an enemy by doing this!

When someone is making a shot, you should be standing behind them and you shouldn’t make a sound! It is very distracting to be about to tee off and just as you pull back, someone decides to jingle loose change in their pocket or noisily unwrap a sweet.Replacing divots. Let’s say you are on the fairway and you strike the ball a bit thick and a clod of dirt and grass goes flying, golfing etiquette says that you ought to replace it. On some courses you just put the turf back and step on it to press it down, but on most courses, there is a sand/seed mixture on the course to put into the divot. Also, if your ball makes a deep impression when it lands on the green, you should use your divot tool to repair it.

As soon as you have completed a hole, replace the flag and leave the green as quickly and quietly as possible there may be another team teeing off at the next hole) so that the next players can play that hole. Add up your score and write it on the scorecard when you get back to your trolley.Of course, there are many more rules of golfing etiquette, but these simple ones will enable you to get through the course without making anyone annoyed. If we all keep to golfing etiquette we will keep the game dignified, right?

Acer’s Timeline laptops have always been about efficiency, with lowvoltage
CPUs and long battery life coming ahead of performance in the priority stakes. That’s all about to change, though, as Acerupdates the Aspire side of the range to use an efficient CPU that can handle a little more strain We are, of course, referring to Intel’s Core i3 and i5 processors, which are making their way into various models in the Timeline family. Unlike the 45nm, Penryn-based CULV chips in existing models, this TimelineX 5820TCore i5, built on the more efficient 32nm Westmere architecture with all its accompanying benefits.

The Core i5-430M’s 2.27GHz frequency, for instance, is far in excess of any CULV chip, and both of its cores are kitted out with Turbo Boost so a busy core can borrow a little boost of power from an idle one as required. There’s also Hyper-Threading technology,as well as a500MHz GPU integrated on to the die itself. These technical improvements manifested themselves in much more laptop-like benchmark scores. The TimelineX 5820Tsped to an overall score of 1.54, which is only a shade slower than the ever-popular Dell Studio 1557, with its mobile Core i7-720QM processor. The upgrade isn’t so much about processing speed,

though, it’s about the freedom the Core i5 brings to the table. As well as theaforementionedIntelgraphics, an ATI Radeon HD 5650 chip is present to take the strain when required.

It can only be enabled when the Acer’s plugged in – which scuppers any chance of portable gaming – but it managed a commendable 37fps in our Medium-quality Crysis benchmark. TheHigh quality benchmark was a step too far, but there’s enough there to tempt casual gamers. The key thing about the dual-graphics setup is that they’re switchable. Not in the dynamic sense of Nvidia’s latest innovations – you still need to manually select one or the other in the driver menu, unfortunately – but when you’re out and about the power-hungry ATI chip is disabled so it won’t impact on battery life.

While the TimelineX 5820T can’t match the nine-hour lifespan of previous CULV siblings, its light use time of 6hrs 42mins is impressive in the arena of 15in laptops, and it’s efficient enough to give 2hrs 30mins when under full load, too.The rest of the internals lack the same excitement of change, but they’re solid enough. There’s a 500GB hard disk and DVD writer, Bluetooth and 802.11bgn wireless. Ports-wise, you get four USB inputs, D-SUB and HDMI outputs, and a card reader.Exterior changes are also minor, although it could be argued little needed changing in the first place. The TimelineX 5820T’s wristrest is as sturdy as any you’ll see at this size, and the lid – while understandably malleable given its mere 6mm thickness – protects the panel far better than it would appear. There’s a hint of creaking when the base istwisted, but it’s nothing unusual or excessive.

The 15.6in display is good, too. The 1,366 x 768 native resolution is a decent fit at this size, and we found coloursaccurate and vivid, with no sign of backlight bleeding. Our only qualm was the glossy coating, which could prove frustrating if you regularly work under bright office lights or enjoy forays into a sunny garden.

Some people are born with the innate ability to lead and to lead well. Others may have to work harder to find it, but that ability does lie within each individual. It just may take work for some people to find it and bring it out. Born leaders by nature have more self-confidence and higher self-esteem. To bring out leadership qualities in yourself, first you must build confidence in your own abilities.

If you want to take on a leadership role for the first time, it is best to start small. Volunteer to lead a small group on a project at work, for example. Or choose to head a committee at your child’s school. Often the first step to becoming a good leader is to get over the fear of being in charge. As the leader, people will look to you for answers. Even if you are not one hundred percent sure of what the answers are, you have to give off a certain amount of confidence in order to gain the trust of the group.

It is best to volunteer to head a project in an area in which you have some experience or expertise. Imagine that your child’s school wants to run a used book sale in order to raise money to build a new library. Also imagine that you work at a popular bookstore. You know all about selling books, so chairing this project is a perfect fit for you. Despite the fact that you may not have ever led a committee before, you are still bringing powerful knowledge. Your knowledge in the field should give you confidence that you can best lead this group to raise the funds successfully.

Realizing that you have the skills necessary to lead the group is the first step. Second, is volunteering to lead the group and sharing the information that makes you qualified. Again, exuding confidence is crucial at this point because no one will follow a leader who does not seem to know what he or she is talking about or doing. There is a difference, however, between confidence and arrogance. It is one thing to show that you are confident in your ability to run a successful program but you should still maintain a degree of humbleness. It is perfectly acceptable, and even preferable, to say that you believe you could do a good job leading the project, but that you will require the help of the other committee members and that you will value their input and ideas as well.

A good leader always takes into account the strengths and weaknesses of the committee members and ensures that everyone working on a particular project feels an amount of ownership and accountability for the project. To be an effective leader, you not only need to have the confidence in yourself but also in those on your team. You need to know when to delegate and which jobs you really should do yourself because of your expertise. In the case of the used book sale, you would want to use your bookstore experience to design the lay-out of the sale or possibly to price the books. But you may want to delegate the task of creating flyers and advertising to someone on the committee who has that kind of expertise.

Achieving excellence in customer care is vital to the ongoing health of any organization. Whether you are dealing with an incoming call or a face-to-face situation the benefits of excellent customer service are endless.

But how exactly do we achieve perfect customer care and more to the point, what exactly is it? Well to start with, employees need to be able know exactly how to handle any type of call or any situation that involves interacting with customers confidently and efficiently. But how do you keep customer service and interaction at the front of employees minds every day? How can you constantly improve upon your customer service?

Customers will judge every business that they come into contact with by what they see on the outside because they usually won’t know much, if anything about the way in which the business operates. If the customer service and front of house operations all run smoothly and efficiently, then customers will assume that the rest of the business operations follow suit.

Pay particular attention to the telephone manner of employees. All phone calls must be dealt with in a uniform, professional manner as if not, the customers will assume that the rest of the business is run in a similar sort of way and will most likely go somewhere else where they feel more assured that the treatment they’re getting is professional. Perfect customer treatment is paramount in order to create and maintain a smooth, professional business model. Every person that comes into contact with your business should receive the same level of treatment every time.

We’ve all received bad customer service at some point, it tends to stick in the memory when we get messed around and more to the point, and did you ever go back to that place? I doubt it. We will all remember receiving good customer service as well. Ensure that your customers remember you for the right reasons.

Indian Karun Chandhok is set to be the first Formula One driver to get a taste of the brand-new Yeongam track in Korea next month. Chandhok will take part in a demonstration event on September 4 for the Red Bull team, as the Asian country gears up to host the inaugural Korean Grand Prix from October 22-24.

The 26 year-old, who competed for HRT in the opening 10 Grands Prix of the season before being rested in favour of Sakon Yamamoto, is a former Red Bull Junior Team member and has been drafted in as all the drivers on Red Bull’s books were busy.

“I was happy to fill in,” said Chandhok. “It’ll be a real honour to be one of the first people to drive around the new Korean circuit. The layout looks quite good fun on paper and I look forward to driving a winning team’s car there next weekend.”

In addition to Chandhok’s run in Red Bull’s show car, the Korean event is expected to feature demonstration laps by a host of other machinery from various junior series.

Inexorable statistics show that most people don’t like their jobs: 87% of Americans don’t like their job. What should we do about it? To call at work and pretend you are ill is not the best way out. Fortunately there are more efficient methods that will change your severe work routine for better. The central problem of bad work lies in our psychology: you are what you do. One of the first questions we ask our new acquaintance is “What do you do? “. That is why if a person has a bad attitude to his job, it affects his/ her self-esteem. This crisis has even more global consequences. US economy annually loses 150 bln dollars because of stresses, quitting and reduction of work efficiency. Jane Baucher, the author of the book “How to love this hateful job: enjoying your wok in 21st century» states, “money is not the most important thing in your job. The employee has three types of motivation. First, he gets motivation from respectable, authoritative people who he likes. Second, he should be aware of the significance of his work. Besides, he should feel his important role and independence in the whole process. People don’t like when boss spies his every step as it kills the initiative”.

So, what should we do to like our job? Try the following some tips. Communicate with your colleagues. Let your boss know about your achievements and your problems. But don’t complain and show your indignation. Let the team spirit be developed in your group. Point out a hindering aspect and offer your own solutions to it. Make something for yourself. Take up a project you like most. Devote more time to something you are good at. You have entered university as you wanted to gain new useful knowledge, but instead have to submit endless college essays? Stop it. Spend more time on what is of real interest to you. Improve tense relations. All people are so different. We tend to dislike some of them more than the rest. That is why conflicts are inevitable. Instead of swelling the quarrel, ask your opponent “What can I do for you?” It will reduce tension and in a while it will help to build up normal contacts with the hottest tempered person. Delegate your duties. It is impossible to perform constant control over the process and to achieve results. Find a young ambitious employee and give him the part of the job you can’t stand. It will be good practice for him. Surely you will have to show your eloquence to explain the necessity of doing it for a future career promotion. Recollect the story with your college essay. It worked out perfect; no one found out that every word of it belonged to your room mate passionate about writing. Ask for the feedback. Ask your boss and colleagues: “How am I getting on with the job?”. Let them know you need their answer to improve yourself, not just to hear a pair of empty compliments. Start with doing the most difficult part of the work. Do the most unbearable part of the work before lunch. If you put it off, it won’t disappear and after lunch it will even harder to make yourself do it. Besides such a schedule will give y an opportunity to finish your working day with something pleasant, something you feel enthusiastic about.

Have fun. Your job is no fun. But don’t repeat it to yourself all the time. A pair of good jokes will cheer everyone up. Work in a team. You can do much more if you have fewer responsibilities. Team work is a good way to handle your working process for achieving it. You should learn it and it is a useful skill. Soul and body. Allocate enough time for your spiritual and physical health. Stick to the basic rules: nutritious diet, working out, healthy sleep. Sometimes it is a simple way to have a fresh look at your job. Live. People who have interests besides work are the best employees, friends, parents and spouses. Devote more time to your hobby; realize what really matters to you and what you want from life. Coming to work, remember it is not only the opportunity to earn money but also a chance to realize yourself. So, don’t miss it.
